Production Supervisor

Duties:

  1. Daily Production Oversight: Support and oversee day-to-day production activities, ensuring smooth operations and timely completion of production schedules.
  2. Team Management: Lead, supervise, and motivate the production team, ensuring they perform at their best and meet production goals.
  3. Breakdown Management: Manage and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, coordinating with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
  4. Quality Control: Ensure that products meet the company’s quality standards by monitoring production processes, conducting regular inspections, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  5. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving production processes, efficiency, and product quality, and work with the team to implement these improvements.
  6. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all production activities comply with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits, and promoting a culture of safety within the team.
  7. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, ensuring sufficient supplies for uninterrupted production while minimizing waste.
  8. Reporting: Prepare and submit regular production reports to management, highlighting key metrics, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  9. Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the production team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  10. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure alignment and coordination of production activities.
  11. Cost Control: Monitor production costs and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce expenses without compromising quality.
  12. Shift Coordination: Coordinate shift schedules to ensure continuous production and adequate staffing levels for all shifts.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the manufacturing sector
  3. Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, manage conflicts, and drive performance improvements.
  4. Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  5. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively to team members and management.
  7. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, especially in quality control and safety compliance.
  8. Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production demands and priorities.
  9. Team Collaboration: Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and stakeholders.
  10. Proactive Attitude: Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
